enjoying the rustic farm atmosphere of the Shenandoah Valley.

After visiting the property and falling in love with the Shenandoah Valley, the Wallace family left Florida and moved to Virginia in January 2022 to fulfill their lifelong dream of owning a farm in a small mountain town. Prior to purchasing Wisteria Farm & Vineyard, Steve was a nurse by profession but an avid home brewer of mead and cider maker. Cassandra has a degree in public relations and spent 13 years as a risk analyst. 

Their goal has been to keep the charming rustic atmosphere as well as the existing wine recipes while adding and expanding as needed. 

The Wallaces live in the house on site with their daughter, Elizabeth, and two dogs, Toby & Nellie. 

  Wisteria Farm & Vineyard was started in 2009 after the original owners cleared the land and planted the vines. The entire property is a little more than 15 acres with around 3 acres of vineyard. In 2021 the first owners retired and the winery was purchased by the Wallaces. We have a small flock of Romney sheep as well as free-roaming chickens on the property.

Wisteria serves a variety of wines, all produced entirely on site. We offer reds, whites, and blends - from completely dry to very sweet with a number of selections in between. Many of our wines have received awards in state and regional competitions. We are also known for developing some unique creations which you won't find anywhere else!
